winks and homages that Hermann has included in his comics. In the same way, we
had fun to track the appearances of Hermann in comics. This list is of course
far from being exhaustive! So nice to see these homages carried out between

Comics, TV
series,…
Comics are a media much
courted by film makers and even, more recently, by book writers. It was then
obvious that Hermann would be contacted in his turn by some of the major actors
of these artistic expression means. Nevertheless, even if many projects
appeared unfruitful, some works out of the comics area have been achieved. The
Jeremiah TV series - which is currently broadcasted in the U.S - is a good

Hermann’s
imagination
The characters who have been
given life by Hermann are not always the fruit of his imagination. Thus,
Hermann is sometimes inspired by movie actors and pay them homage by including
them in some of his comic books. They can also be friends, members of his
family or simply characters he met by chance and who have inspired him. We had
fun finding as much as possible of them ! >> Next (in

Héros &
Bovins
The publisher Mosquito will issue in November “Héros
& Bovins” (Heros & Cows). This book is about the first and secondary
characters of the Hermann’s universe and will include interviews about the
relationships between the author and them and 32 direct coloured drawings.
Hermann will dedicate it Friday November 8th at Grand’Place –
The Last
Diamond : the new adventures of The Survivors !
Jeremiah and Kurdy turn up in a town to pay a small visit
to Aunt Martha from whom they didn’t have news for a long while. This starting
point makes it possible to discover the inner part of the city, which is the
theatre of a wave of rapes and awful
murders. Three wasters could be the authors for it but are not worried. A cop
is suspicious about them but he doesn’t seem to move on. Surely because he’s
little appreciated by his pars considering his marriage with a Mexican girl
with Indian origins, a trick rather badly seen in the place, and more especially
that one of the three frosted is shown to be…her brother. It can be noticed
that the unutterable Stonebridge is coming back in this album which is the 24th

1957 : Press Release
The D-day is coming smoothly. The output of the last
work of the tandem Hermann and Yves H. is announced for October 19th.
This press release contains a summary of the history and an appreciation of
this one as well as an interview of Yves H. and Hermann made up of three
topics: " an American trilogy ", " Road Movie " and "
Who is Oedipus, again? ". There is a presentation of the relationships
father-son - the son seen by the father - the father seen by the son. Then come
the biography of the authors and finally a presentation of the "Signé”
