· Born on the 17/03/1967 in Etterbeek, in the area of Brussels (everything is fine so far : or almost, as from now things will start to go wrong), with a father who is an illustrator (if you can imagine who I am referring to) and a mother who is employed in the national bank.
· Brilliant studies in Infant School.
· Brilliant studies in Primary School.
· A brilliant start to Secondary School (St. Pierre d'Ucce College, with the Catholics and the "cowards").This is the point where my career as a good student ends.
· As from now on, it's a long and painful journey to hell which confirms that I am not cut out for studying.
· Enrolment at the IAD (in Louvain-la -Neuve). I dream of a career in cinema. However, they head us in the direction of television. (this was before the few Belgian cinema success stories, which doesn't mean that it is any easier for young people!). This is when I decided to write comic strips. It is true that I have always drawn and when I was a child I wanted to take up this profession. It is also true that I don't have the same fervour as my father or other illustrators for this profession. I'm a bit of an "all rounder" in my soul. The proof :
· Participation in amateur video competitions : I obtain several prizes.
· I write articles now and again for a modest sports magazine : enthusiastic for gym, I get in contact with Christian Grétry through Télémoustique, at this time he is the national champion and technical consultant at the RTBF. I become his cameraman in order to report on happenings concerning his sponsor.
· I also dream about Romania ( because of gym). After having contacted Romanian trainers I leave for Romania with my camera. The Romanian Olympic Team coach gives me permission to film whatever I wish in the gymnasts' training centre, where new gymnasts ,such as Nadia Comaneci are being trained up. No other camera had ever been allowed in this centre. Several television companies, one of which is ABC sports (USA) shows interest but I need a professional film crew and there is nobody. The project falls through. A few years later, France 3 films a documentary, there where "no camera…". Up until now this is my biggest disappointment.
· First publication, with my father and the publisher Dupuis, of "Le secret des Hommes-Chiens", which was an enormous commercial flop. I then realised that I needed to work more in order to achieve a decent professional level, even if some of the ideas were good but badly developed.
· Military Service in Germany (10 months, in Werl, 3A, for those who may be interested). Despite the fact that I'm not a militarist, the human experience was a very good one.
· I meet my wife to be on one of my trips to Dracula's country (I was there over 30 times in less than ten years). For a year we live in a little bed sit in Bucharest where she finishes her studies in Economics.
· In may 1998, I marry locasta losefina Morosanu and up until now have no reason for regretting having done so! We have lived together for two years in Brussels.
· In September 2000, I publish "Liens de Sang" with my father.
· In September 2001, I come up with "Rodrigo".
